Teaching
Our lab contributes to a variety of modules and courses blending state-of-art research and state-of-practice to train the next generation of urban mobility professionals and researchers.
Current Courses and Modules
ENERGY SYSTEMS DATA ANALYTICS
Energy and Transport Analytics (BENV0095)
This module provides an interdisciplinary view of transport systems and their energy demands. The module will combine teaching on vehicle-level energy demand with fleet-level analytics, to develop characterisations of historical and current energy demand. The module will also deliver teaching on the use of scenario modelling to estimate how changes to energy and transport systems might lead to new configurations, adoption of new technology and new energy vectors – particularly electrification and movement away from the use of fossil fuels.
The module will study transport energy demand centered questions through the lens of the economic, societal and political systems, and under environmental constraints. The module will provide signposts to subsequent data and analytics methods, and the addressing of real world examples of key transport policy questions.
